The minimum base salary for thisposition is $62000 - $80000 plus annual may vary based on education knowledge and experience.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate must be a self-starter who enjoys research learning new analytical techniques to solve challenging problems and communicating and interacting with people (both co-workers and clients). Additionally the successful candidate should provide technical solutions and advise co-workers and clients on complex statistical analyses.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct statistical analyses for environmental ecological renewable energy and natural resource projects.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of datasets analyses and deliverables.
- Develop maintain and document reproducible analytical workflows using R and other statistical software.
- Prepare high-quality tables figures summaries and other analytical products suitable for technical reports and client deliverables
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines budgets and project objectives.
- Collaborate with biologists data analysts statisticians GIS specialists and other technical professionals to develop practical solutions to project challenges.
- Communicate statistical methods assumptions limitations and results clearly to project managers and interdisciplinary project teams.
- Effectively use version control systems and collaborative coding practices.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS in statistics.
- 2 or more years of experience as an applied statistician in ecology fisheries or wildlife research.
- Relevant experience in statistical consulting.
- Proficient in statistical programming and advanced data manipulation in R.
- Experience with some or all of the follow analysis methods: generalized linear modeling bootstrapping and simulation spatial analysis Bayesian hierarchical modeling and survival analysis.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work well under time constraints and meet deliverable targets and deadlines.
- Ability to write proposals manage deadlines and collaborate with others.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with relational database systems and data manipulation.
- Experience with data management and geographical information systems (ArcGIS QGIS etc.).
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications.
