Associate Scientist

Job Summary
Clariant is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Catalyst Research & Development team. This role is responsible for the analysis of inorganic materials using advanced digestion techniques wet chemistry methods and state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation. The Associate Scientist will support research projects through laboratory testing data analysis documentation and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline preferred; equivalent laboratory experience will be considered.
13 years of laboratory experience with hands-on exposure to wet chemistry sample preparation inorganic material analysis and analytical testing methods.
Experience operating troubleshooting maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Microsoft Office and scientific or statistical software for data analysis and documentation.
Strong technical aptitude mechanical aptitude problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
