About the Role

The Associate Sales Engineer at Advent Software Inc. will support the sales team by providing technical expertise and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients. This role involves understanding client needs showcasing Advents solutions and contributing to the sales process through technical validation and support.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
• Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations highlighting features and benefits relevant to client needs.
• Provide technical support during the sales cycle including answering product-related questions addressing technical concerns and resolving pre-sales technical issues
• Prepare and deliver proof-of-concept engagements and pilot programs for prospective clients.
• Assist in the creation of technical proposals RFPs and other sales collateral.
• Stay up-to-date with Advents product suite industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Gather and relay client feedback to product management and development teams for continuous improvement.
• Participate in industry events conferences and webinars as a technical representative.

Required Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Finance Business or a related technical field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a technical support pre-sales or financial services role.
• Strong understanding of financial services technology including investment management portfolio accounting or wealth management platforms.
• Excellent presentation communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events
