Associate Protein Chemistry - Analytics

Amgenisseekingahighly motivated Associateto join the Protein Therapeutics(PT)Protein Chemistry is a multidisciplinary team with broad capabilities in protein engineering expression purification and forthe engineering production assessment and finalselectionof large molecule drug candidates that advance to Process Development.

In this role you will supporttheanalysis and characterizationoflargemolecule therapeutic drug candidates many of which are complex biologics.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and characterizingnovel and complex molecules that will be the next generation of large molecule therapeutics.

• Contributing to theexecutionof ouranalyticsmolecular assessment and protein purificationcapabilities.

• Organizing analyzing and reportingfindingstosupport leadcandidateselection.

• Partnering with Project Analytics and Automation teams to advance our pipeline.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree inlife sciences.

OR

Associatesdegree and2years of relevant scientific experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 4 years of protein purification and/or protein analytics experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree ina relevantscientific discipline.

• Demonstratedstrong communicationskillsability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Demonstratedtrack recordof independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving.

• Experiencewithprotein analytics fundamentals techniques instrumentation software.

• Familiarity withprotein purificationfundamentals and techniques.

• Familiarity with handlingand analyzinglarge datasets.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
