Associate Product Manager

Summary / Objective

The Associate Product Manager is an entry-level role focused on learning core product management skills while building foundational technical literacy. Youll support execution of the product roadmap by delivering clearly scoped features and improvements working closely with more senior Product Managers Design and Engineering to understand how product decisions translate into real engineering work.

Technical fluency is a core part of this role from day one including comfort using modern AI tools such as Claude Cursor and Gemini to research draft prototype and reason about systems and requirements more effectively. This is a strong fit for someone early in their product career or coming from an adjacent background such as engineering design QA or support who is curious about how systems work and eager to grow into broader product ownership.

This role reports to the Manager Product Engineering.

What Youll Do

• Support execution of the product roadmap by delivering clearly scoped features and improvements
• Write detailed requirements user stories and acceptance criteria with guidance from more senior PMs
• Partner with Design and Engineering during discovery and delivery to clarify scope tradeoffs and dependencies
• Participate in user research usability testing and feedback collection to build customer understanding
• Support tracking of key product metrics for your product area helping surface whether they moved post-launch to inform prioritization
• Assist with product launches including documentation coordination and post-launch follow-ups
• Build foundational technical fluency and use available tools including AI tools such as Claude Cursor and Gemini to better understand systems requirements and user workflows
• Use AI tools to accelerate everyday PM work such as drafting requirements summarizing research or quickly exploring a technical question before looping in Engineering
• Support PostHog experiments for your product area in partnership with more senior PMs and Engineering from setup through reporting results
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful development and launches
• Consistently model and Identity Digital values in all interactions and decisions

Who You Are / What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering design business administration or equivalent experience
• 02 years of product management experience or adjacent experience in engineering design QA or support
• Demonstrates baseline comfort discussing technical concepts at a high level
• Hands-on comfort with modern AI tools (e.g. Claude Cursor Gemini) for research drafting and exploring technical questions with genuine interest in getting better at using them
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Curiosity about user problems and how systems work
• Ability to break down problems into manageable pieces
• Basic understanding of product metrics and prioritization frameworks
• Openness to feedback and eagerness to learn
• Self-starter highly organized and able to work well with individuals at all levels and across functions
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed
• Reliable transportation to the workplace

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary Range

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90000 - $116000 (flexibility based on experience) plus benefits as described addition the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidates qualifications internal employee equity considerations and location. We will not ask for information about a candidates current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.

Team members are also covered by company-paid life and disability insurance and have the option of participating in employee-paid supplemental life accidental death and dismemberment critical illness and accident addition team members can enroll in the companys 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match. You receive 15 days of paid vacation yearly increasing to 20 days after one year. Additionally you get 5 days of paid sick leave 13 paid holidays and 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents 12 weeks for others. Also theres an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
