ASSOCIATE MECHANICAL ENGINEER

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2-5years of professional hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Skilled in CAD modeling and drafting.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques (Machining 3D printing injection molding etc.)
  • Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
  • Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good understanding of basic mechanics and machine design.
  • Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in automation or product development processes from concept to production.
  • Ability to assist in the creation and building of fixtures for optomechanical experiments.
  • Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in designing injection molded and sheet metal parts.
  • Skilled in NX modeling and drafting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Update 2D and 3D CAD models to accommodate design changes.
  • Create and manage technical documentation (e.g. BOMs I/O lists P&IDs).
  • Perform basic engineering analyses.
  • Build and maintain CAD models that integrate into complex assemblies.

The salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and location. Base Salary: $72000.00 - $105000.00. Andrews Cooper is an equal-opportunity employer.
