What youll need to succeed:

Degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering Mechatronics or a comparable education
Product design knowledge including welding and assembly with regards to blow molding injection molding compression molding and metals is a strong plus
Hands on engineering experience in automotive engineering for complex mechatronics systems as well as mechanical engineering.
Hands on engineering experience with battery systems in the automotive sector
Experience working with OEMs preferred
Business English mandatory
German French and/or Japanese language skills are a plus
Willingness for frequent business travels

What awaits you:

Develop customer product from first system concept through quote prototyping validation and towards a fully released product in mass production
Ensure proactive requirements and risk management for all technical aspects
Ensure that customer specifications as well as cost targets design-to-manufacture and timing goals are met
Knowledge about and compliance to the customer specific requirements
Seek for and achieve customers buy in to utilize standardized development and validation testing if and where useful and applicable
Act as technical liason between product development teams and the customer and all other internal functions like design manufacturing and industrialization
Supervise product testing including interpretation of test results introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met
Support flawless launches by planning and controlling all technical issues related to assigned project and support the Program Manager in delivering highest quality solutions to our customers
Provide product engineering expertise in a professional manner during customer visits and audits with the team as well as in collaboration with other departments (e.g. manufacturing purchasing sales)
Act as a Technical Project Lead Engineer with responsibility for a technical project team with reference to various KT technologies/systems like FUEL and PENTATONIC.
Facilitate knowledge transfer to other regions
Hands on support on related projects in other regions than Germany
Use PLM as our regular project space for serial programs.
