Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director Professional Societies you will be a key member of the Strategic Alliances team supporting long-range portfolio-shaping collaborations aligned with BMS oncology strategy.
Managing Oncology & Hematology Professional Societies leading interactions and cultivating maintaining and optimizing strong long-term relationships with senior leaders within key Professional Societies.
Represents BMS at external Society meetings including but not limited to Professional Society corporate roundtables forums science/clinical-to-science/clinical interactions delivering presentations to appropriate audiences and preparing internal reports as required.
Partners with the Global Medical Oncology Disease Area Medical teams and additional key internal stakeholders to align strategies for engagement with Professional Societies execution of plan and opportunities for collaboration which are aligned to business objectives.
Engages with BMS leaders across multiple departments at BMS including Development Translational Medicine Medical Commercial Access and Policy to participate in Professional Society executive discussions and meetings as needed.
Collaborates cross-functionally and collaboratively to plan execute and communicate the Societies strategic plan internally and interfaces with leadership and matrix teams executional excellence and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency consistency and impact of Medical Society engagements.
Educates internal stakeholders about Professional Societies and guides process and procedures for collaboration and partnership activities.
Maintains regular communication with Professional Societies and interactions at key congresses to remain current on all ongoing activities.
Manages and executes efficient approval process for corporate memberships sponsorship and collaborative projects.
Manages and executes efficient budget expenditures in collaboration with GMO teams.
Ensures that all activities comply with company policy legal and regulatory requirements.



Qualifications & Experience

Advanced degree (PharmD PhD MD etc.) in scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or experience with stakeholder and Professional Societies engagement or partnerships (public and/or private) in Oncology and/or Hematology.
Demonstrated credibility engaging external senior executives academic investigators and oncology thought leaders with the ability to translate external insights into strategic recommendations.
Advanced understanding of drug development process and healthcare ecosystem.
Highly collaborative with experience in building and maintaining cross-functional relationships (e.g. development medical commercial access congress excellence policy and Markets) and navigating complex interactions
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
HQ based position with ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally; travel requirement approximately 10%
