Job Summary

Position Summary
The Department of Health Policy and Management ( HPM ) Gillings School of Global Public Health at The University of North Carolina ( UNC ) at Chapel Hill offers residential and executive Master of Healthcare Administration ( MHA ) and residential Masters of Science in Public Health ( MSPH currently paused for market alignment updates) degree programs. HPM is engaged in significant strategic planning work to increase enrollment diversify course and program offerings engage alumni connect with employers and other external stakeholders and position HPMs programs in a competitive higher educational environment. Thus the department is seeking a professional non-faculty Associate Director of Masters programs who will: 1) support development and management of strategic academic initiatives to ensure that HPMs curriculum prepares students for current career options and provides opportunities for life-long learning; 2) Support the faculty directors of Masters programs in program evaluation and operations; and 3) in partnership with the HPM Associate Chair for Alumni Affairs support alumni engagement and student professional development.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Experience collaborating and working effectively with faculty instructors and students. * Subject matter knowledge in public health healthcare administration healthcare policy management or other related fields. * Demonstrated experience independently planning implementing and leading high-quality programs and events. * Demonstrated strong project management skills. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Strong strategic and organizational skills; able to plan and meet tight deadlines in addition to pivoting directions. * Strong problem solving critical thinking and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency with MS Office. Must be comfortable and experienced in using technology. * Demonstrated ability to contribute to a workplace environment in which people from different backgrounds and perspectives feel welcome and valued.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Experience with online learning web conferencing learning management systems (specifically Canvas) or online learning communities is strongly desired. * Experience with curriculum design academic product development or non-traditional educational product development is desired. * Experience preparing materials for and participating in degree program accreditation and self-study processes is preferred. * Experience with outreach graphic design market research and marketing is desired.
