Job Summary

Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Nursing to join our partnership with the rest of the Oak Brook Leadership Team you will play a key role in building and shaping a strong culture at the location while offering direct coaching and development to our team.

Our state-of-the-art facility in Oak Brook is modern bright and creates an inviting therapeutic space for both patients and employees alike.

WhatYoullDo:

  • In partnership with the COO assumes authority responsibility and accountability for the delivery of nursing services at the facility
  • Manage the various activities of this department and to ensure that proper andtimelyhealthcare is provided to our patients
  • Maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice facility philosophy and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitor staff practices and implementation
  • Oversee personnel selection supervision practices and ongoing training and evaluation for the nursing department
  • Conduct staff nurse evaluations and training regarding clinical practices EMR use and Compass Health Center protocols
  • Collaborate with staff nurses and treatment team to develop support and coordinate services that ensure delivery of holistic and individualized quality care to Compass Health Center patients
  • Promote customer service and hospitality and responds to and adequately resolves complaints or concerns from patients and their families about nursing services
  • Assure staff is trained in fire and disaster and other emergency procedures and evaluates performance during drills
  • Exercise overall related administrative functions and clinical responsibilities within the scope of nursing
  • Aptitude to gain working knowledge and expertise of staff nurse duties and responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as requested

Who You Are:

  • Hold a BSN degree
  • Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Illinois
  • Are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR
  • 5 years of progressive nursing experience ideally with 1 years of management experience
  • Mental health experience
  • High degree of leadership excellent interpersonal communication skills organizational ability and time management.
  • Possess excellent therapeutic communication skill
  • Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms
  • Often required to sit and stoop kneel or crouch
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
