Associate Director, Discovery Research Operational Excellence

Job Summary
As an Associate Director supporting operational initiatives you will work closely with management to advance Discovery Researchs strategic agenda and support mission-critical initiatives that will make a real difference for AbbVies pipeline. You will report to the Director of Operational Excellence as part of Discovery Research Strategy Portfolio and Operations Â
Responsibilities:
- Support identifying strategic initiatives that will enhance operational productivity and position Discovery Research for future successÂ
- Monitor understand and prioritize external trends of relevance to the Discovery Research and help determine how the organization should prepare and/or respondÂ
- Provide project management support for key strategic planning processesÂ
- Lead individual modules within complex cross-functional initiatives including driving the problem-solving process and supporting research and analytics and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management considerationÂ
- Partner with the business to implement recommendations endorsed by managementÂ
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. Medicine Sciences etc.) preferredÂ
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a top-tier strategic consulting firm preferably with healthcare and pharma industry experienceÂ
- Strong project management skillsÂ
- Ability to lead individual modules within complex cross-functional initiatives including driving the problem-solving process and supporting research and analytics and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management considerationÂ
- Highly collaborative genuinely enjoys working hand-in-hand with the businesses to develop solutions that advance AbbVies overall missionÂ
- Strong communication skills can comfortably lead meetings with mid/senior-level managementÂ
- Sound business judgmentÂ
- Drive energy and passion to advance Discovery Researchs pipelineÂ

- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
