About the role:

The Associate Director Business Operations and Excellence for Patient Value Access is responsible for leading the operational support that helps the team deliver access service and process excellence. You will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations improve ways of working and support the systems reporting and coordination needed to serve patients customers and internal teams. This role supports Takedas mission of bringing Better Health to people and a Brighter Future to the world. You will report to the Head of US Oncology Business Unit (OBU) Patient Value and Access. This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge MA.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead business operations and excellence activities that support the Patient Value Access function

  • Improve processes workflows and ways of working to strengthen service delivery and operational performance

  • Coordinate issue resolution including customer patient access and operational concerns and help ensure timely follow-up

  • Partner with internal teams across supply distribution access and commercial groups to support clear handoffs and resolve operational issues

  • Oversee the use of systems tools and databases that support access operations reporting and team productivity

  • Support planning reporting and performance tracking for the function including key metrics and business reviews

  • Help manage projects and continuous improvement initiatives using structured approaches such as change management and agile ways of working

  • Lead and develop a team or small unit by setting objectives delegating work and supporting delivery against budgets and timelines

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in business operations access operations customer operations or a related area

  • Bachelors degree in business life sciences health care administration or a related field

  • Strong experience with process improvement change management and project management concepts

  • Ability to work across teams and support alignment between access supply distribution and commercial functions

  • Experience using reporting tools databases and business systems to support operational work and performance tracking

  • Experience leading teams setting priorities and managing work against objectives and timelines

  • Ability to use data and practical judgment to identify issues recommend improvements and support decisions

  • Clear communication skills for working with internal partners and external customers

As a leader of a functional area or organization you will set objectives delegate tasks and ensure operational success with reviews by senior management. You will also help shape company policies tackle complex problems and meet budgets and schedules. Your responsibilities include managing projects influencing organizational goals maintaining frequent communication with peers and customers and leading teams and projects serving as a best practice/quality resource.

Travel Requirements:Limited travel up to 10%.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$154400.00 - $242550.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience specific and unique skills level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical dental vision insurance a 401(k) plan and company match short-term and long-term disability coverage basic life insurance a tuition reimbursement program paid volunteer time off company holidays and well-being benefits among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive per calendar year up to 80 hours of sick time and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
