Position Summary:

Work alongside companys general counsel to provide legal services to the company. Ensure all company policies conform to relevant legal standards. Review and negotiate contracts. Help manage and direct outside counsel. Manage discovery efforts in litigated cases.

Position Responsibilities:

• Review draft and negotiate contracts involving all aspects of Oateys business including contracts with customers and suppliers.

• Assist general counsel with advising internal stakeholders on a variety of legal matters including those related to employment product liability environmental customs intellectual property and insurance.

• Assist as needed with conducting due diligence and generally supporting M&A activities.

• Manage internal discovery efforts on select cases. Work with internal stakeholders to identify and produce relevant documents. Review same.

• Oversee companys product liability caseload.

• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 0-2 years In-house corporate law department

• 0-2 years Law firm experience

• 2-5 years In-house corporate legal department with a manufacturer.

• Advanced Microsoft Word advanced skills

• Basic Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Pacer system skills.

• Intermediate Legal Research Tools (e.g. Westlaw Practice Point)

Education and Certification:

• Juris Doctor required

• Admitted to Ohio Bar or the Bar of another state in which Oatey operates.

Compensation Range for the Position:

Target Cash Profit Sharing for the Position:

Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
