Associate Buyer

The Opportunity:

This position will be in our CACI Enterprise Services where the individual will work under close supervision to prepare and administer purchase orders for materials in accordance with client requirements government regulations and procurement policies/procedures.

• Typically works on purchasing activities valued up to $150000.

• May be assigned higher value tasks with oversight from more senior level staff.

• Must comply with corporate policies procedures and underlying Federal state and/or local regulations concerning the purchase and/or shipment of goods materials and services.

Responsibilities:

• Review requisition solicit/evaluate bid recommend and select supplier for award of purchase orders.

• Negotiate price quality delivery and other terms and conditions.

• Perform oversight on all awarded purchase orders until delivery/completion of goods/services.

• Coordinate and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment.

• Recruit and maintain responsive suppliers providing high quality products and services at fair and reasonable prices.

• Negotiate with suppliers and settles damage claims rejections losses return of materials over-shipments cancellations and engineering change orders.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Typically has a Bachelors degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent and 0 to 2 years of related purchasing experience.

• Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.

• Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Attention to details and problem-solving skills.

Desired:

• Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent.

• Experience in Costpoint and P2P systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of FAR DFAR and GSA Schedules.

• Advanced Excel and Word Document skills.
