Job Description

• Manage a litigation-driven caseload from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings motions discovery and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and case analysis on complex factual and legal issues
• Appear in court for hearings conferences and trials with increasing responsibility
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Collaborate closely with partners associates paralegals and legal staff on case strategy
• Communicate effectively with clients insurers and opposing counsel
• Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active Michigan Bar license or eligibility for prompt admission
• 2 years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal writing research and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines
• Professional judgment integrity and a team-oriented mindset
