Associate Attorney Transactional Liability

Location: Any Harris Beach Murtha office (Hybrid opportunity)Experience Level: 4 years of insurance coverage transactional liability or relevant business litigation experience. Strong analytical and quantitative skills including proficiency with the Role: Harris Beach Murtha seeks a mid-to-senior level associate to join our growing Transactional Liability Practice. Our team represents insurance companies in a wide variety of claims arising under insurance policies covering mergers and acquisitions transactions tax matters and contingent liability risks. We are seeking a highly motivated attorney with strong analytical writing and communication skills who is interested in sophisticated insurance coverage and transactional Transactional Liability Associate will have the opportunity to:Represent insurance company clients in transactional liability matters and related insurance productsReview and analyze insurance policies transactional liability claims and related agreements in connection with mergers and acquisitions tax positions contingent risks and other complex business transactionsAssist clients with evaluating investigating and resolving claims under transactional liability policiesConduct legal research and prepare memoranda analyses coverage determinations and client communications regarding transactional liability issues and related third-party litigationDraft and negotiate agreements related to transactional liability claimsCollaborate closely with clients brokers and outside professionals throughout the transactional claims processInteract with clients to service existing work and develop strong client relationshipsCollaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide comprehensive legal support to clientsWork Environment and Expectations:A hybrid work opportunity in one (or several) of Harris Beach Murthas officesMinimum annual billable requirement of 1900 hoursDirect client interaction and opportunities to develop long-term professional relationshipsEngagement in sophisticated insurance coverage matters and complex transactional disputesApplications are encouraged and desired if you have:Admission to the Massachusetts New York New Jersey or Connecticut Bar or eligibility for admission in one of those jurisdictionsJuris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school Experience handling insurance coverage matters transactional liability claims or complex business litigationExcellent research writing and verbal communication skillsThe ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to rapidly absorb and analyze new information A high level of professionalism conscientiousness and responsibility A positive flexible and cooperative attitude Military experience welcomeSalary information below will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position and geographic locations.$147000 - $195000Harris Beach Murtha is not accepting candidate submissions from recruiting agencies for this position during the first two weeks after posting.
