About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who is eager to gain meaningful courtroom experience work directly with clients and build a successful legal career under the mentorship of experienced litigators.

As an Associate Attorney you will represent individuals and businesses in a variety of legal matters collaborate closely with partners and play an integral role in every stage of litigation. From day one you will receive hands-on responsibility direct client interaction and opportunities to develop your advocacy negotiation and case management skills while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters negotiations mediations and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings motions legal memoranda contracts and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Manage cases through all phases of litigation from initial evaluation through resolution or trial.
  • Communicate directly with clients opposing counsel courts and third parties.
  • Attend hearings depositions mediations and trials as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and legal team members to deliver outstanding client service.
  • Maintain organized case files while managing deadlines and multiple matters efficiently.
  • Provide practical legal advice tailored to each clients objectives.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and foster strong long-term client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri.
  • Excellent legal writing analytical organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Strong work ethic attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional legal services.
  • Self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Passion for litigation and professional growth through hands-on experience and mentorship.
