Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense Litigation

Location: San Antonio TX (Hybrid - 3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote)

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join a busy Insurance Defense practice. The ideal candidate will manage an active litigation docket and handle injury-related defense matters for major insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage approximately 30 litigation files independently

Handle injury and insurance defense cases from start to resolution

Review medical records billing documents pleadings and discovery

Attend hearings depositions (mostly via Zoom) mediations and trials

Prepare weekly written reports for carrier representatives with case updates exposure analysis and recommendations

Meet monthly billing expectations (160 hours/month)

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years of litigation experience

Background in injury litigation required (either plaintiff or defense side)

Defense-side experience preferred due to billing timekeeping and client reporting requirements

Plaintiff-side candidates will also be considered

Strong legal writing organization and case management skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
