Location: Charleston South Carolina. This is an on-site opportunity for an attorney who values working closely with colleagues and clients in a collaborative office environment.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina and have at least 1 year of directly relevant creditors rights law experience. Experience involving bankruptcy foreclosure commercial collections creditor representation or closely related lender-side litigation is highly relevant.

Job Description

  • Represent financial services providers and other business clients in creditors rights matters
  • Handle matters involving foreclosure commercial litigation bankruptcy real property and regulatory compliance
  • Draft pleadings motions briefs correspondence and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and provide clear practical analysis
  • Appear in state federal and bankruptcy courts as appropriate
  • Manage assigned matters while coordinating effectively with attorneys and support staff
  • Communicate professionally with clients opposing counsel courts and other parties
  • Contribute to a collaborative practice focused on excellent client service and efficient case management

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Bar license required
  • 1 year of creditors rights law experience required
  • Civil litigation experience strongly valued
  • Bankruptcy foreclosure commercial collections creditor representation or lender-side litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal research analysis and writing skills
  • Courtroom experience preferred
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently while working collaboratively with a team
  • North Carolina Bar admission is a plus
