Associate Attorney

Growing Law firm in Costa Mesa is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of litigation experience to join our litigation practice.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned trial attorneys on significant litigation from early case strategy through trial our lean high-performing environment associates are expected to think strategically write persuasively and take ownership of substantive work that directly impacts case outcomes.

Our attorneys defend complex cases across the country including product liability automobiles consumer goods industrial products mass and toxic tort employment litigation business torts and commercial litigation. What Were Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• 3-7 years of litigation experience
• Strong research writing and analytical skills
• Excellent organization and judgment with the ability to prioritize effectively
• Initiative strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a demanding fast-paced practice
• A clear commitment to building a long-term career in sophisticated trial-focused litigation

Experience in consumer litigation products liability or employment law is especially valuable. Trial experience is strongly preferred.

What Youll Do

You will play a hands-on role in all phases of litigation including:

• Legal research and factual investigation
• Drafting legal memoranda pleadings and motions
• Coordinating with expert witnesses and consultants
• Drafting offensive discovery and responding to defensive discovery
• Taking and preparing for depositions
• Managing document review and production
• Preparing cases for trial and participating in trial work
