Location: Columbia South Carolina. This is a full-time in-person opportunity for an attorney who can commute to the Columbia office daily. The role may also require working from the Sumter office 1 to 3 days per week as needed along with occasional local travel for closings client meetings and business development. Mileage is reimbursed.
Note: Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and an active valid South Carolina Bar license. Strong communication organization client-service skills and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines are essential. Residential real estate closing experience is preferred but not required and we welcome attorneys who are motivated to learn and grow with the team.

Job Description
- Supervise residential real estate purchases sales and refinance closings from start to finish.
- Review and assist with deeds powers of attorney corporate resolutions affidavits and other closing documents.
- Analyze title issues contract questions and other transaction-related matters and help drive them toward resolution.
- Provide practical legal guidance to clients throughout real estate transactions and closing procedures.
- Communicate with buyers sellers lenders real estate agents brokers and internal support staff.
- Develop strong relationships with lenders agents brokers clients and referral sources.
- Participate in networking marketing and business development initiatives.
- Travel occasionally for closings client meetings and firm events with mileage reimbursement provided.
- Build an additional complementary practice area such as estate planning probate administration business formation or another related area of law.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active and valid South Carolina Bar license.
- Strong communication organizational and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters priorities and deadlines.
- Residential real estate closing experience preferred but not required.
- Title review and title curative experience preferred.
- Experience working with lenders real estate agents and brokers is a plus.
- Estate planning estate administration probate or business formation experience is a plus.
- Attorneys from law firms in-house environments or solo practices may be considered if they are collaborative and communicative.
