Position Summary
As the Associate Applications Engineer Mechanical you willassistwith the integration of power generation equipment in customer projects by supporting design documentation and verification activities. This role collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure compliance with industry standards and provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
What you will be doing
- Assistwith the design and development of walk-in enclosures housing and system requirements for generator sets KPP BESS and related systems.
- Support the preparation submission and tracking of RFIs and review C/D&E documents to ensure client expectations and project documentation are met.
- Assistin verifying manufacturing drawings P&I diagrams schematics and data sheets for compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Research and analyze requirements from engineering standards contracts and proposals; review and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and vendor proposals.
- Support the preparation and finalization of equipment specifications collaborate with internal teams forcomponentprocurement and coordinate with vendors for production release.
Basic Requirements:
- Associates degree in Engineering 2 years of Automotive Mechanical Electrical engineering experience or related field OR
- Bachelors degree in Engineering OR
- Masters degree in Engineering OR
- JD/PhD in Engineering OR
Preferred Requirements:
- Proficiencyin MS Office suite BIM360 drafting tools CAD software SAP Windchill Creo MS Project and engineering collaboration tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or OSHA30 certification.
- Hands-on experience with control systems PLC programming and parameter changes.
- Experience working with reciprocating internal combustion engines and exhaust gas treatment systems.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
