The Commercial Product Cybersecurity team is searching for a dynamic forwardthinking leader to drive endtoend execution of the Collins Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) across our commercial aviation the next generation ofaircraftconnectivity and communication systemssolutions at the forefront of transforming howaircraftcommunicateoperate and stay cyberresilient. This role will be worked onsite in Cedar Rapids; IA. Relocation assistance is available. Requires an active and transferrable SECRET clearance prior to day1.

What You Will Do:

• Own every phase of SSDLCconcept creation requirements secure architecture & design secure coding V&V certification readiness and longterm sustainment.

• Spotdesignlimitationsearly and steer architectural decisions to strengthen system resilience.

• Drive organizational adoption of SSDLC best practices elevating cybersecurity maturity across engineering teams.

• Ensure programs fully align with DO326B / DO356A airworthiness security requirements and integrate the right controls at the right time.

• AdviseProgram Leadership and help shape future product roadmaps with embedded cybersecurity capabilities.

• Advance Collinsdeveloped embedded security technologiesintegrating maturing and scaling them across the portfolio.

• Influence strategic pursuits by evaluating technical proposals and contributing to highvalue bids.

• Lead evolution of PKI digital certificates and identity solutions across product lines.

• Represent Collins in industry committees shaping the direction of aviation cybersecurity and returning insights to guide internal strategy.

• Travel 5%

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.

• ACTIVE and transferable SECRET U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearances.

• Engineeringexperiencein embedded systems spanning both systems and software disciplines.

• Experience leading and championing process improvements secure development practices and advanced tooling.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Security certifications such as Security OSCP CISSPorsimilar credentials.

• Experience collaborating withprogramarchitects to fold cuttingedge security technologies into product designs.

• Handsonexperience building defenseindepth architectures and diagnosing issues with rootcause precision.

• Vulnerability assessment mitigation strategies and secure design reviews.

• Secure delivery practices secure boot and hardened containerized environments.

• Familiarity with AI/ML-based securitytools that enhancecybervulnerability discovery.

• Experience applying RTCA DO326B / DO356A airworthiness security guidance.

• Ability to mentor and grow the next generation of cybersecurity engineering talent.

The salary range for this role is 157200 USD - 298800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
