The Department of Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine invites applications for a full-time Assistant Associate or Full Professor faculty position in Aging Behavioral and Cognitive Neurology. Academic rank and tenure status will be commensurate with the candidates qualifications experience and accomplishments.

The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized academic neurology department and contribute to the clinical educational research and service missions of the University of Florida. This position offers the opportunity to participate in the care of patients with Alzheimers disease and related dementias mild cognitive impairment frontotemporal disorders Lewy body disease and other cognitive and behavioral neurologic conditions within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient consultation services for patients with cognitive behavioral and neurodegenerative disorders.
• Participate in multidisciplinary memory disorders and aging-related clinical programs.
• Contribute to the development and growth of innovative clinical and research initiatives in cognitive neurology and aging.
• Teach and mentor medical students neurology residents fellows and other trainees.
• Participate in clinical research translational research clinical trials quality improvement initiatives or other scholarly activities aligned with the candidates interests and expertise.
• Collaborate with faculty across Neurology Psychiatry Neuroscience Geriatrics Neuropsychology and other disciplines.
• Engage in departmental college and university service activities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Completion of a United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS)-accredited fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry (BNNP) Cognitive Neurology Dementia or a related subspecialty.
• Experience in the diagnosis and management of Alzheimers disease and related dementias.
• Knowledge of emerging diagnostic tools and disease-modifying therapies for neurodegenerative disorders.
• Participation in clinical trials translational research or other scholarly activities related to aging cognition or behavior.
• Record of publications presentations and research funding appropriate to academic rank.
• Demonstrated success in interdisciplinary collaboration and academic program development.
