| Primary Duties and Responsibilities: | The OMore College of Architecture and Design at Belmont University in Nashville invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the History and Theory of Architecture at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with an anticipated start date of January or August 2027. The Department of Architecture seeks candidates who are committed to educating diverse leaders of character and who view architecture as a vehicle for the greater good. Grounded in Belmonts Christ-centered mission the program emphasizes collaborative interdisciplinary learning; the integration of creativity empathy and technical rigor; and the development of meaningful human-centered design approaches that engage community context stewardship and professional practice. Responsibilities of the position include teaching 24 credit/workload hours per year in the architecture program with an emphasis on the history and theory of architecture in one or more of the following areas:
Additional responsibilities include collegial participation in collaborative settings academic advising student mentoring scholarly activity and college and university service. The successful candidate is expected to pursue these aspects of faculty life within an ecumenical student-focused environment that brings together the best of liberal arts and professional education in a Christ-centered community of learning and service.
