Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to help lead field operations for commercial roofing projects. This role is responsible for coordinating crews subcontractors materials equipment safety quality and daily jobsite activities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on roofing leader with strong knowledge of commercial roof systems excellent communication skills and the ability to keep projects moving safely efficiently and according to schedule.

• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager with the daily execution of commercial roofing projects.
• Direct and coordinate roofing crews subcontractors and site activities.
• Oversee installation work involving TPO EPDM PVC modified bitumen built-up roofing tile and shingle systems.
• Review project plans specifications details and scope requirements before and during construction.
• Plan daily manpower material equipment access and staging needs.
• Verify that materials tools and equipment are available when needed.
• Monitor production workmanship and schedule performance throughout the project.
• Conduct jobsite inspections and ensure completed work meets project specifications manufacturer requirements and company quality standards.
• Enforce OSHA regulations company safety policies fall-protection requirements and jobsite procedures.
• Lead daily safety meetings and address unsafe conditions immediately.
• Coordinate with clients general contractors subcontractors suppliers project managers and internal operations staff.
• Provide regular updates regarding project progress delays staffing weather impacts and material needs.
• Maintain daily field reports photographs labor records delivery documentation and job logs.
• Identify and resolve jobsite problems before they affect safety schedule cost or quality.
• Assist with preconstruction planning site mobilization punch-list completion and project closeout.
• Train coach and support crew members to improve safety productivity and workmanship.
• Perform minor repairs service work and hands-on roofing tasks when necessary.
• Maintain an organized professional and secure jobsite.

• At least five years of commercial roofing experience in a foreman lead or field-supervision role.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing installation methods and repair practices.
• Experience with single-ply modified bitumen built-up tile and shingle roofing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints roof plans specifications details and construction documents.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise crews and coordinate subcontractors.
• Strong leadership communication organization and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and commercial roofing safety practices.
• Current OSHA 30 certification.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors climb ladders access rooftops lift materials and work in changing weather conditions.
• Availability to travel to project sites as required.
