Assistant Softball Coach

Position Summary

Bryant & Stratton College is seeking a dedicated enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in developing a positive competitive and growth-focused program. The Assistant Coach will help plan and conduct practices assist during competitions mentor student-athletes and promote teamwork sportsmanship and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assistthe Head Coachin planning andleading practices andtraining sessions.
• Teach and reinforcesport-specific skills techniques and strategies.
• Support athletes indeveloping their physical mental and personalgrowth.
• Assist with game-day preparation competitionmanagement andpost-game evaluations.
• Monitor athlete attendanceperformance and progress.
• Promote good sportsmanship teamwork disciplineand respect.
• Help maintain equipmentand ensure asafe practice andcompetition environment.
• Communicate effectivelywith athletes parents and program staff.
• Assist with teamtravel schedulingfundraising and otherprogram activities asneeded.
• Follow all league school and organizationalrules policies andsafety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous playing and/or coaching experiencein the sportpreferred.
• Strong communication leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivateand mentor athletesof varying skilllevels.
• Current CPR/FirstAid certification (orwillingness to obtain).
• Ability to passrequired background checks.
• Flexible schedule includingevenings and weekendsduring the season.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience workingwith youth orstudent-athletes.
• Knowledge of currentcoaching techniques andplayer development.
• Valid drivers licenseand reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to standfor extended periodsduring practices andcompetitions.
• Abilityto demonstrate drillsand participate inpractice activities whenneeded.
• Ability to liftand move equipmentweighing up to50 pounds.
