Assistant Softball Coach

The qualified applicant will report to the Head Softball Coach & Executive Director of
Intercollegiate Athletics. The assistant coach will assist in directing all aspects of the softball
program with an emphasis on pitching. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
recruitment of quality student-athletes scheduling managing and coaching games planning
and conducting practices organizing team travel monitoring student-athletes academic
progress equipment maintenance and purchases and administrative duties required to
maintain a competitive softball program. Additionally a thorough understanding of and
accountability to NCAA Old Dominion Athletic Conference and institutional rules and
regulations is necessary.
Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a 12-month full-time position with
benefits. Qualifications include a minimum of a bachelors degree. Preference will be given to
applicants with college coaching and/or pitching coach experience. Salary is commensurate
with experience and qualifications. Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the
colleges auto insurance carrier.
