Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for the Fabrication this position you will be responsible assisting the Plant Manager in overseeing all aspects of the plants operations including production maintenance and safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working with Engineering teams to get proper work scheduled for the shop
  • Responsible for 3 shift Supervisors and reporting directly to the Shop Manager
  • Delegate work as needed to each shift in the Fabrication Shop with Shop Manager
  • Responsible for trucks being loaded and being ready to go out on time
  • Coordinate with Superintendents for jobs
  • Communicate with field employees throughout job sites
  • Will need to train all new employees as this will be a brand-new location
  • Other duties assigned
Qualifications

  • Must have experience in a Plant Manager role in the Fabrication industry would be preferred
  • Organize and prioritize appropriately
  • Must be willing to work 6 days a week
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to our customers
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be highly organized and possess good time management abilities to prioritize workload
  • Display a professional positive and respectful attitude to co-workers supervisors customers and vendors
  • Knowledge of Excel Word & other Microsoft Office products
  • Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
