THE JOB:

MGM Grand Detroit is seeking a polished results-driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the leadership of our premier steakhouse this role you will help oversee daily operations ensure seamless floor service and deliver exceptional guest experiences through attentive personalized hospitality. You will collaborate closely with culinary and service teams manage scheduling and staff performance uphold inventory and quality standards and ensure that every detailfrom reservations to service executionreflects the excellence synonymous with our brand. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations

• Supervise floor service in dining rooms during hours of operation

• Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records

• Maintain communication with the Chef on all food service and menu issues

• Communicate with management chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guestsand employees

• Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing; prepare purchase requisitions for any outlets from the warehouse orsupport departments

• Keep inventory form and stocking area updated

• Inspect food coming from support departments to assure freshness and quality

• Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High school diploma GED or equivalent

• Two years of prior relevant experience

• Three years of food and beverage experience to include supervisory/management experience preferred

• Previous experience working in an upscale restaurant establishment preferred

• Able to work a varied shift to include weekends and holidays
