About the Role
Bohlers Ridgewood NJ office serving the North Jersey area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Land Development) whos eager to take the next step in their civil engineering this role youll partner closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative high-quality land development solutions. Youll grow as both an engineer and a leader supporting project delivery collaborating directly with clients and municipalities and contributing to Bohlers reputation for technical excellence and partnership.
What Youll Do
- Support project management activities including project scoping proposals schedules and resource planning
- Oversee preparation of comprehensive site plan packagesgrading stormwater management utility design and erosion and sediment control
- Coordinate permitting and entitlement approval processes with clients municipalities and agencies
- Prepare contracts change orders and client invoices while tracking financial performance
- Collaborate with clients attorneys contractors and subconsultants to ensure project success
- Review concept drawings and cost estimates aligned with client objectives
- Participate in public hearings community meetings and professional organizations
- Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge to promote team growth

What Youll Bring
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 6 years of experience in site design and jurisdictional permitting for residential commercial or industrial projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and drainage software such as StormCAD Hydroflow or HydroCAD; skilled in Excel Word Outlook and Microsoft Project
- Strong communication organization and project management skills
- Experience working directly with clients and project teams
- Professional Engineer (PE) license beneficial
