The Assistant Project Manager works within the Project Management Team which is responsible for planning and overseeing the project to ensure a timely and cost-effective outcome. This includes budgeting organization implementation and scheduling of the project. Ensure the project is constructed in a safe ethical manner and in compliance with all federal state and local laws. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Assistant Project Manager will be involved FunctionsCoordination of Drawings and Specifications with TradesPrepare RFI and SubmittalsPrepare Procurement Log to manage and schedule long lead itemsCoordinate meetings with Trades Clients Governing Agencies and InspectorsManage Trade and Owner Change OrdersSchedule work as necessary to meet scheduleManage costs for varying scopes of workMinimum RequirementsBachelors Degree - Construction or Engineering or equivalent experience.5 years prior relevant experience overseeing projects such as roads bridges dams water/wastewater treatment plants basic management approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing coaching and process execution1-year or more of direct supervisory experienceExperience with project manager software (Procore P6 Timberline etc.)Experience with cost projection financial analysis budget reviews labor reportsExperience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s)The base compensation for the Assistant Project Manager is between $120000 and $ usBalfour Beatty US is an industry-leading provider of general contracting at-risk construction management and design-build services for public and private sector clients across the nation.
