Job Summary

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Job Category: ExemptLocation: Goldsboro N.C. Travel Required: Minimal up to 20%Reports To: Project Manager Position Type: Full-timeJob DescriptionRole and Responsibilities1. Assist Project Managers in coordinating all phases of complex long-term projects to ensure alignment with contract requirements schedules and customer expectations.2. Support engineering procurement manufacturing and operations teams in the execution of electrical and mechanical project requirements.3. Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules budgets resource planning and milestone tracking.4. Monitor project progress and help identify potential risks delays or issues while supporting corrective action efforts.5. Maintain effective communication with clients subcontractors vendors and internal departments to support successful project execution.6. Assist in ensuring compliance with industry standards safety regulations quality requirements and company procedures.7. Support the management and updating of project schedules to accommodate established milestones and completion dates.8. Assist in assembling project design submittals and reviewing documentation against technical specifications and contract requirements.9. Coordinate with engineering operations procurement manufacturing finance and quality teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.10. Assist with project documentation including scope letters procedures O&M manuals warranty documentation and closeout packages.11. Support project meetings maintain meeting notes track action items and follow up on outstanding tasks.12. Assist Project Managers with customer reporting project status updates and overall project administration.13. Electrical industry experience and Primavera P6 experience preferred.14. Other duties as Qualifications and Skills:1. Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Project Management or related field preferred.2. Familiarity with electrical and mechanical engineering principles.3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (MS Project Primavera P6 etc.).6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.7. Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.8. Self-starter with a willingness to learn and grow within project Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in traction power projects Familiarity with specialized equipment Commitment to continuous improvement professional development and operational Physical Demands & Safety Awareness:1.
