Assistant Project Manager Fort Worth, TX

Position Summary: The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the estimating scheduling procurement and management of specific projects under master service agreements and site specific projects across a mix of customers for which Burfords Construction serves. This position will be responsible for establishing baseline schedules monitoring and updating of progress and cost for multiple projects and reporting results weekly. This position also requires maintaining a positive relationship with our customers while ensuring Burfords field operations team is supplied with the pertinent information necessary to perform all work in a cost effective and timely manner. The Assistant Project Manager is expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently.

Essential Functions:

Under minimal supervision an Assistant Project Manager will:

Assist with project execution from planning to completion in accordance with company standards and environmental compliance regulations.

Support field operations with detailed span-ahead planning including culvert sizing matting strategy grading needs and access road design.

Generate accurate estimates and quantity takeoffs for materials such as rock timber mats culverts geotextiles and erosion control products.

Develop and maintain span tracking tools and access maps using KMZ/KML files and GIS-based solutions.

Coordinate equipment rentals trucking logistics and subcontractors.

Track daily progress and update schedules cost reports and quantity logs.

Ensure construction activity complies with environmental and stormwater plans (SWPPP) including documentation and installation of BMPs.

Assist with procurement of materials and services in support of civil scopes.

Attend field walkouts and preconstruction meetings with clients and foremen.

Participate in post-job reviews invoice reconciliation and job costing analysis.
