Position Summary
Gannon Universitys Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences invites applications for a full-time Clinical Coordinator and faculty member in the Physician Assistant Program in Ruskin Florida. The appointment for this twelve-month tenure-track or teaching-track position begins as early as September 2026. Responsibilities include identifying and developing clinical sites working with clinical year students according to established standards preparation of student examinations and providing research guidance to graduate-level students. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues support an interprofessional learning environment teach and advise students and participate in service activities to support the University community and profession. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Physical Demands
Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic environment. Work is performed in a busy classroom and office setting. Travel to clinical sites may be necessary on occasion.
Required Qualifications
Education/Experience: Master of Physician Assistant Science degree (or equivalent) or a medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) is required; three-to-five (3-5) years of full-time clinical experience is required. Rank: In accordance with the Universitys standards the Provost and Vice President for Student Experience awards initial rank at the time of employment. Licenses and Certifications: Current NCCPA certification required; candidates must have or be eligible for PA MD or DO licensure in Florida. University Mission: Must be able to support and promote the Universitys inclusive Mission its Catholic identity and its strong liberal arts foundation that supports exemplary professional education programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a post-professional doctorate degree (PhD DSc DHSc EdD etc.) are preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of teaching clinical preceptor and/or research experience are preferred.
