Summary of Job Duties:
The Assistant Professor (MD) will provide surgical care to Vascular Surgery patients. Duties will include but are not limited to direct patient care medical teaching and research collaborations. Engagement in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine is to be included. Additional duties will vary by position discipline and division.

Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. required.

  • General Surgery Residency Training.

  • Fellowship Trained.

  • Eligible for Arkansas Medical License.

  • American Board of Surgery eligible.

  • DEA License or eligible.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coordination continuity and consistency in patient care activities.

  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with departmental and divisional expectations.

  • Participate in medical teaching activities through didactic instruction bedside teaching and clinical educational experiences.

  • Collaborate on research initiatives and scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine and patient care outcomes.

  • Engage in clinical care and academic activities that support the mission and goals of the department and institution.

  • Promote academic excellence and support the health and wellness of Arkansans through clinical educational and scholarly contributions.

  • Provide instruction and mentorship to learners using a variety of educational methodologies and clinical teaching environments.

  • Support educational initiatives and activities related to medical education programs.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on position discipline and divisional needs.
