Assistant Professor, Philosophy

Job Description:

The Department of Philosophy at Le Moyne College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2027. The department seeks candidates with an Area of Specialization AOS in Social Epistemology and Areas of Competence AOCs in Philosophy of Race or of Feminisms Philosophy of Law and Applied Ethics. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach courses in their Area of Specialization that appeal to a variety of undergraduate students as well as to teach courses in our Core Curriculum.

Expectations are teaching 3 courses per semester (or 9 credit hours per semester).

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Philosophy by the position start date demonstrate excellence in teaching and have an active agenda of high-quality research.
