The Department of Political Science at Barnard College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the subfields of comparative politics and/or international relations. We are particularly interested in scholars focused on South Asia (especially India) the Middle East American Foreign Policy technology/social media and politics data and politics race/ethnic politics and/or the global politics of immigration/migration.
We seek candidates who show exceptional promise in their scholarship and who demonstrate the potential for publication in major refereed journals and/or University presses. Candidates should also demonstrate excellence in teaching at or beyond the level of teaching assistant.
The start date for this position is July 1 2027.
Salary: $95000 to $115000

Candidates must have a PhD in hand by the start of the appointment.
