Assistant Professor of Political Science

The Department of Political Science at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Law and Politics starting August 2027.

Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities will be on a 2-2 load and consist of introductory upper-level undergraduate courses as well as graduate seminars offered either in person or online. The successful candidate will teach courses contributing to our Pre-Law option within the Political Science major and the Law and Legal Studies minor. We are also highly interested in candidates able to teach introduction to American Government. A Ph.D. in Political Science is required at the time of appointment. Candidates with a J.D. degree and a license to practice law in the United States are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Department of Political Science is housed within the College of Arts and Sciences and offers B.S. and B.A. degrees with degree options in campaigning global politics pre-law and public policy. It also offers M.A. degrees in Politics and Policy Studies as well as Peace Conflict and Security Studies.
