The Assistant Professor of Nursing & Prelicensure BSN Program Coordinator supports the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the Prelicensure BSN (PLBSN) program through teaching and program coordination. Working with the Department Chair and nursing faculty the Coordinator supports program operations regulatory and accreditation activities curriculum implementation clinical and simulation planning student progression processes and program assessment. The Coordinator collaborates with university departments clinical partners and regulatory and accrediting bodies to support program quality compliance and student success.
The position includes teaching and program coordination responsibilities with teaching assignments based on program needs and the candidates area of expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned masters degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Unencumbered Minnesota RN license.
- Professional nursing experience relevant to undergraduate nursing education and professional nursing practice.
- Demonstrated leadership project management program coordination or comparable experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience teaching and evaluating student learning at the undergraduate level.
- Demonstrated experience supporting students through advising mentoring or academic guidance.
- Effective written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive student-centered teaching and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience in nursing education academic program coordination regulatory compliance and/or accreditation.
- Knowledge of or experience with nursing regulatory and accreditation requirements including Minnesota Board of Nursing requirements.
- Experience with curriculum implementation and evaluation clinical education and/or simulation-based education.
- Experience with program evaluation assessment of program outcomes and continuous quality improvement.
- Experience supporting new or evolving academic or nursing programs and/or developing collaborative relationships with healthcare and clinical partners.
