Chatham University invites applications for a full-time 12-month Assistant Professor of Nursing to teach in our online RN-BSN MSN or DNP programs. This faculty position reports directly to the Nursing Program Director and provides an exciting opportunity to advance nursing education within a collaborative student-centered environment.
As a key member of the faculty the successful candidate will support the mission of Chatham University through high-quality instruction active engagement in scholarly activities and meaningful service to the university and the broader community. We seek a dedicated educator and practitioner who is committed to preparing the next generation of nursing professionals.
This position is not remote. On-campus presence is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching online courses in the RN-BSN MSN or DNP Program.
Grading student assignments and providing student feedback in a timely manner.
Advising assigned nursing students.
Participating in professional university and departmental service.
Engaging in a program of scholarship.
Fulfilling course liaison duties as assigned.
Establishing and maintaining effective timely clear professional communication with students faculty and staff.
Committed to continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications:
Current unencumbered Pennsylvania professional nursing license or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Two degrees in nursing. Doctoral degree preferred. Commitment to achieve doctoral degree within three years of hire if not already achieved.
Experience in curriculum development program evaluation and accreditation preferred.
Online nursing teaching experience preferred.
Defined clinical scholarly agenda.
Must be able to travel to campus regularly.
