Job Summary
Position: Eureka College is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in Criminal Justice with expertise and/or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: legal system corrections and law enforcement. The position is housed in the Social Science and Business Division and supports the Sociology program. We are specifically looking for candidates who are committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and can employ a variety of methods in the classroom to reach the Colleges diverse student body. Annual teaching load is 4-4. Special consideration will be given to candidates who embrace an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and can contribute to the Colleges unique 10 Essentials general education program. Faculty are expected to advise students serve on departmental and college committees. and continue professional activity and/or scholarly research.
Salary Range: $48000 - $52000 ANNUALLY
Position Requirements: Preferred applicants will have a terminal degree in a relevant field (e.g. Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Ph.D. in Sociology with specialization in Criminal Justice/Criminology) or be ABD with the requirements for the Ph.D. completed by the time of appointment August 1 2026. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
