Assistant Professor Biochemistry [Req# 961053, Position# 127468]

The Department of Biochemistry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applications from candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The Department is strongly research-oriented with major programs in discovery biology metabolism RNA biology enzymology carbohydrate biology and drug discovery. We are particularly interested in strong candidates who will complement our existing strengths.

Duties: Conduct an independent externally funded research program in biochemistry molecular biology or related disciplines. Mentor graduate trainees collaborate with faculty participate in graduate-level teaching and contribute to departmental service.

Qualification:Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and be engaged in innovative research within biochemistry molecular biology or at the interface between chemistry and biology.
