Description

This 12-month full-time (1.0 FTE) on-site faculty position will remain open until filled. This existing position reports to the Athletic Training Program Director and will have responsibilities related to teaching research and service. The primary teaching role will be in our CAATE accredited Master of Science in Athletic Training Program with a workload of approximately 17 credits in total throughout the academic year. The program is seeking an additional faculty member with athletic training clinical and teaching experience. The program approaches course delivery in a holistic manner and the specific course assignments will be based on the candidates strengths and the needs of the program.

The DPT professional program enrolls approximately 50 students per class each year and is ranked in the top 35 programs per the US News and World USF Athletic Training Program was the first AT program to be housed in a College of Medicine and currently has one of the largest and most diverse student populations in the country. Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate athletic training coursework; develop and refine curriculum.

  • Assess student learning and implement ongoing improvements.

  • Participate in faculty meetings governance and committee work.

  • Advise and mentor students.

  • Engage in scholarly work and present findings through publications or presentations.

  • Contribute to program development college-wide collaboration and professional engagement.

  • Perform additional academic duties as assigned.



Qualifications
  • Doctoral (i.e. PhD EdD) degree from an accredited institution

  • Active BOC certification and current (or eligible for) Florida Athletic Training licensure

  • Desire to teach in area of expertise

  • Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
