GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Associate Production Planner Buyer works with internal partners in manufacturing to understand material and demand requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule the planning and procuring material requirements for various eyewear categories
- Work alongside Planners to support production plans that drive optimal inventory levels
- Work on scheduling new releases to ensure material coverage of launch dates
- Identifies instances when supplier orders need to be expedited and partners with Planners to mitigate a delay in schedules due to unforeseen conditions
- Builds partnership with internal clients and local suppliers to support the efforts of Sr./Planners
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience in Production purchasing and/or planning
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Experience with SAP MM PP and/or BW
- Knowledge of MS Excel MS Access and basic MS desktop applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Operations Engineering or related field
- MRP experience in a manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
Pay Range:$24.09 - $32.36
