Assistant Production Manager

We are seeking a dependable and proactive Assistant Production Manager to support the day-to-day execution of roofing projects from start to finish. This role works closely with the Production Manager to help ensure projects are completed safely efficiently and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and comfortable balancing field responsibilities with operational support.

• Assist with the coordination and execution of residential roofing projects.
• Conduct regular visits to active jobsites to monitor progress and workmanship.
• Document project status through photos and written notes.
• Identify potential issues early and communicate recommendations to the Production Manager.
• Help ensure projects are completed according to company quality expectations and timelines.

• Diagnose and complete minor service and warranty-related repairs when needed.
• Respond to warranty requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately document completed work through photos and written reports including actions taken and outcomes.

• Perform jobsite inspections to verify compliance with company standards.
• Promote and reinforce safe work practices in the field.
• Safely set up and use ladders for inspections and service work.
• Maintain and inspect ladders and related equipment to ensure safe operation.

• Assist in planning daily priorities and coordinating field activities.
• Manage assigned responsibilities independently and efficiently.
• Maintain regular communication regarding project status scheduling updates and field observations.
• Support efforts to keep projects on schedule and address obstacles as they arise.

• Coordinate material deliveries and jobsite needs.
• Pick up and deliver materials as necessary to support production schedules.
• Verify materials and quantities prior to delivery.
• Maintain organization of tools equipment and commonly used materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.

• Assist with various operational initiatives and special projects as needed.
• Support the Production Manager in maintaining efficient workflows and organized operations.
• Foster a team-oriented approach to meeting production goals.

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working on roofs and climbing ladders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with smartphones or tablets for documentation and reporting.
• Roofing construction or field operations experience preferred.
