Job Summary

The Elementary Assistant Principal supports the principal in providing instructional leadership promoting student achievement fostering a positive school culture and ensuring the efficient operation of the school. The assistant principal collaborates with staff students families and the community to create a safe inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports the academic social and emotional growth of all students.

  • Support the implementation of the schools vision mission and improvement goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practices and student achievement.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide timely meaningful feedback.
  • Assist with teacher evaluations in accordance with district policies.
  • Analyze student achievement data to support instructional decision-making.
  • Promote evidence-based instructional strategies and continuous professional growth.
  • Foster a positive safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students staff families and community partners.
  • Promote positive behavior supports and restorative practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing school-wide expectations for behavior and attendance.
  • Recognize and celebrate student and staff accomplishments.
  • Oversee student discipline
  • Maintain open effective communication with faculty and staff.
  • Develop positive partnerships with families to support student success.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress behavior and school initiatives.

The Elementary Assistant Principal is expected to:
