Assistant Maintenance Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering and significant supervisory experience in the manufacturing sector. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will play a key role in overseeing maintenance operations ensuring equipment reliability and supporting the production team to meet our quality and production goals.

Assistant Maintenance Manager Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules procedures and protocols to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems machinery and production equipment.
• Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget including cost control measures and expenditure tracking.
• Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations environmental standards and company policies.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with other departments including production engineering and quality assurance to achieve overall business objectives.

Assistant Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in the metals industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems PLCs industrial controls and mechanical equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance programs and strategies.
• Knowledge of safety regulations environmental standards and best practices in maintenance management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
