Assistant Hotel Maintenance Tech

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous maintenance construction facilities hotel engineering or mechanical experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry painting and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when assigned tasks.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond appropriately to urgent issues.
• Dependable punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work around guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to lift carry push pull bend kneel climb ladders and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying temperatures.
• Must be willing to learn hotel equipment systems procedures and preventative maintenance requirements.

Reporting Structure:

The Assistant Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Chief Engineer and works closely with hotel management and other departments to maintain the property and provide a safe comfortable environment for guests and employees.

Position Objective:

The primary objective of this position is to support the Chief Engineer in keeping the hotels building equipment guest rooms and public areas in safe and reliable operating condition while providing timely professional and courteous maintenance service.
