About the Role
Pirate Ventures is hiring an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at the National Union Building in Penn Quarter in Washington DC. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key part in executing daytoday service supporting the bar program and leading teams on the floor.
This is a handson leadership role for a hospitality professional who thrives in fastpaced environments values consistency and guest experience and wants to grow within a multivenue hospitality group.
What Youll Do
Daily Operations & Service
Support daily floor operations and act as ManageronDuty as scheduled
Ensure service cleanliness safety and facility standards are met
Support execution of private events and hightouch guest experiences
Maintain compliance with DC alcohol and food safety regulations
Bar Program & Team Leadership
Support execution of bar programs and service standards
Train coach and lead bartenders and FOH team members
Reinforce SOPs and service expectations
Lead by example during service and preshift meetings
Administrative Support
Assist with inventory ordering and vendor coordination
Review payroll for accuracy and support invoice tracking
Use systems such as Toast Tock and Tripleseat to support operations
Who You Are
2 years of hospitality management experience
Strong service and bar operations background preferred
Available on evenings and weekends
Required:
DC ABRA ManageronDuty Certification
ServSafe (or equivalent)
